Progressive Downloader for MAC
Free download manager for Mac with multi-thread downloads, mirror search, queues and schedules. Optional Plus mode adds more features.
Progressive Downloader Overview
Progressive Downloader is a download manager for Mac that splits a file across several connections to use the full width of your internet connection. You can pause and resume tasks, limit how many downloads run at once, and let the app sort files into groups by type or source. When a link fails, its mirror search looks for another source.
Downloads can be added from Safari, Chrome or Firefox, and a built-in file browser handles HTTP(S), FTP(S) and SFTP. Active Hours limits downloads to the hours you choose, and the site version can even download while the Mac sleeps, using Power Nap. It is developed by Maxim Trushin. The version on the official website is free, but it is not the complete product: BitTorrent downloads and full replacement of the browser's download manager need Plus mode, which a purchase of the $4.99 Mac App Store version can unlock. Version 10.0.5 can optionally sort downloads with on-device AI on macOS 27. It requires macOS 13 or later, and the site's version archive has releases for older systems.
